Poetry: Missing you

by Candy Jules

Created on: August 08, 2009   Last Updated: August 10, 2009

I'm in the autumn of my life, and time still lingers on.

I don't know when, or even why, but I will soon be gone..

The day will come when Jesus says,

"My child, it's time to go. The Father's up there waiting,

because He loves you so."

My earthly life is over, and now a thing that's past.

So I move on to a better place I know will always last.

Don't send me roses when I'm gone,I'm never going to know.

The fragrance always lingers, but whats the point, I had to go.

I missed you and I loved you, but you had no time for me.

And now that's it all over, I'm no more than a memory.

So please don't send me roses, It was you I needed more.

Just know that I was missing you,Life now has closed the door
