Poetry: A sailor's tale

by Thinkocrates

-Sailors Psalm-

Have you no wine good sir

To drown away these tides?

For my ship is out to sea,

On tough waters I have cried.

I drink for all the fallen men

Who chose to chug the strait.

Bravest crew I ever knew

God chose to be first mate.

On the bottom of the waters

You'll find them down below,

So tip your glass to heaven

And Go, Go, Go!

As the glug the ale down

Remember to spread the fable

Of hard drinkers of liquor,

And how they slammed the table.

Don't forget to mention

Their Betties that they rode.

Some wider than the whales,

And carriers of the ode.
