Vacation time is drawing near and you have to get your plans made for accommodations but where do you start? You will have to decide what is important to you. Do you want to stay in the heart of a city where the action is or would a charming hotel tucked away in a more remote spot suit your needs? Regardless of the location you want the best offers you can get but you also want all the amenities that will go with it. If you get organized your search for the best place to stay will become fairly simple, especially with tips for choosing the best hotel.

Make a list

The first thing on your list for finding the right accommodations is to review some of the hotels in the area you want to stay. This can be done very easily online, there will be many to choose from so try and work your way to the best top three for you. These online site reviews can give you important information from people that have experienced the hotel already. You will have the option of booking your room right away but it is better to hold off and review the rest of the hotels first.

Ask about rates

If you decide to contact the hotel don't be shy about asking questions. Ask if the hotel can give you a better rate than what their offering. Sometimes you can find places that haven't hit the big times yet but can offer just as much as a five star hotel. Check the map of the city to see what is offered.

Ask about amenities

Inquire about what each hotel has to offer their guest in amenities. If your children will be traveling with you ask if there will be a cot that can be set up in your room. Inquire if there are any child care facilities in the hotel and a play area for the children. Inquire if there is a swimming pool, exercise rooms or spa in their hotel and you will also need to know if there are any restaurants in the hotel or nearby. The list is endless when asking what the hotel has to offer such as beauty salons, coffee shops,
