Questions
Do you ever reminisce
of how when love was new
It seemed the world was meant
... especially for you two
All the secret places...
the whispering and fun
The Special Day you said I Do
and two lives became one
Somewhere along the road of life
passion begins to wane
You realize that life is more
than walks down Lovers Lane
If you count yourself among
the very lucky few
Your love and respect deepens
and this poem is not for you
This is for all the people
who daily wear a mask
Together .. yet alone..
Passions past .. outside their grasp.
Where does the magic go
as years silently slip by
People stay together
without even knowing why
Must the zest for living
be buried deep by time
Does romance have to dwindle
with each gray hair and each line
When does it cease to matter
that your partner feels alone
And the voice you loved to hear
now begins to drone
What happens to the thrill you felt
by accidental touch
What happens to the smiles and humor
you once loved so much
How do the dreams and plans you made
get lost along the way
Do they die a sudden death
or just quietly fade away
What a difference it would make
if these words you could hear
How was your day ... you're looking great
..I really love you dear.
Because it is the little things
that happen day by day
Remembering the special times
before they slip away
And making time to sit and talk ..
sharing good and bad
Working together side by side
to renew the bond you had.
Else, why strive for a marriage ...
lasting 50 years
If all you have to hold at night is ...
a pillow full of tears.

Poetry: Marriage

Remember this moment for years to come
Your two lives today united as one
Hold tight to each other for all of your life
Do you take this man
who snores
who believes with all his heart
that if fallen food only touches the floor
for two seconds it's

HOW TO STAY MARRIED FOREVER
You have stood up and sworn to love each other,
You have married for better and for worse,
But
by Jen Loomis
Love is patient, as it is kind
Let your love be genuine
As you face the world together
Ask for no more than you can give
Give
You and I beneath the sun
Burning bodies dying young
With out fear the end has come
What once was two now is one
Embracing
