Psalm 10
Dear God, it seems as if you stand far off.
Where are you when I really need you most?
I watch the villain hunt the weak and scoff
At You; and none can stop his haughty boasts.
He lives in such sublime extravagance;
He says, I sneer at all my enemies.
Who dares me? I have all in affluence.
None shake me; I have no anxieties.
He lies in wait to strike the helpless man,
and they are crushed under his mighty rod.
He says, God can't see; I do what I plan.
Why can the wicked man revile God?
But God, You hear the words of evil men
And You will punish them for every sin.
