Recipes: Potato omelet

Usually omelet is cook by frying but making potato omelet, you need to bake it because of the potatoes. The potatoes are hard and it take a longer time to cook. If you cook this dish buy frying, you will get a burnt egg just to make sure that the potatoes cook. Baking this dish would also allow those who are health conscious to enjoy this nutritious meal. It takes minutes to prepare but it doesn't cut out on the taste of the omelet. You have to try out this dish to believe it!

Here are the list of ingredients you will need to make this dish:

Note: This dish serve for 2 people (you can vary the portions to the number of people you are serving too)

5 Idaho potatoes (you can use any potatoes you like)

5 whole egg

1/2 a cup of milk

freshly grated nutmeg

grated Parmesan cheese

salt (for seasoning)

black pepper (for seasoning)

chopped chives (for garnish)

Let's begin, shall we?

1) First, you beat 5 eggs in a bowl and add in 1/2 a cup of milk and season it with salt, blackpepper and freshly grated nut meg

2) Slice the potatoes thinly and arrange them in a baking dish

3) Add the wet mixture to the baking dish

4) Sprinkle Parmesan cheese on the egg and bake it for 10-15 minutes in a 215 oven

5) When its done, serve it on a plate and garnish it with chopped chives

Have this dish along side with a fruit salad and you will have a hearty breakfast, branch, lunch or dinner. This is the kind of dish that its good to go at any time of the day. Kids love this dish too even fussy eaters. This is easily, one of the crowd pleaser dish. Enjoy!
