Before rushing to be the global savior, we should try to fix our own economy, and so should each other country try to do before we go and hand out free money. What everyone must get through their heads is that we cannot save every single country from bad economic times.
There are several reasons US officials should concentrate on the US right now. First, we must find a bi-partisan way to pass a health care reform bill. I am not talking about the same health care bill that everyone is arguing about, but we must create a bill that both sides of the aisle agree with and the American people also think is a good idea. I am not trying to sabatoge the health care system reform by slowing the process down, but these things take lots of time.
Second, the housing market. US officials should create a new spending bill that will cover no-income or low-income households for 6-12 months. This way the families aren't being immediately foreclosed and it gives them time to get back on their feet, and then when they are back on there feet, we increase taxes each year by 0.5% until they pay off what we spent covering them.
Third, the war. Instead of spending trillions of dollars on an overseas war, we should have had special forces infiltrate and assassinate high Taliban leaders. Then also we could release the Guantanamo bay detainees, and not spend money by holding them. Then when all the soldiers get back, we sell Area 51 to Disney for $250 million, and then we can start paying off our gigantic deficit.
Finally, the car companies. We should sign a deal with GM and the UAW saying that they sell us cars for federal operations at the flat price of $30,000.00 a car. This way we have many more cars for government operation, and GM isn't owned by the government anymore.
This is my economic theory on how our president and other US leaders should repair our economy. Even though it may take time, it can be done. Also I forget about my tax idea, I think we should demolish the income tax and make it 15% sales tax. That way we aren't taking it out of peoples paychecks, and there is no more tax evasions. Hooray!
Tell your congressmen this idea, and see if they can pass my idea, we must fix the economy before America is destroyed by a lunatic.
