In developing a list of best beauty products, one must realize that the definition of beauty products may differ from person to person.

To some beauty products merely mean cosmetics such as eyeliners, concealer, foundation, etc.

To others beauty products are those that promote a healthy sense of beauty like maintenance items such as pedicure tools, tweezers, vitamins or tonics.

Or some may feel that the best beauty products are those that prevent problems such as acne medications or anti-agin creams. Definitions will vary but here is a sampling of five products, some of which encompass all of the above categories of beauty.

1. Burt's Bees Carrot Seed Oil Complexion Mist- Sold on the internet and in some health food and drugstore, this facial mist is a miracle worker for keeping skin toned with lively color. It is made with all natural ingredients including carrot see, veviter and rose, all essential oils that help repair damage to skin, which is especially helpful to those with dark complexions or who like to sunbathe. Added patchouli and sandlewood scents refresh the senses as well. As an olive-toned female, I have never come across a product that rejuvenates and brightens my skin color so completely. An additional benefit is that in can be used as often as necessary and spritzes throughout the day keep skin moist and fresh.

2. Merle Norman Lipstick Plus Lipliner Pencils -While pricey, these thick pencils last an unusually long-time and are a lipstick worth the extra dollars to procure. With a hard liner on one end and a smooth matching soft color on the other, the stick is sold in numerous colors. As anyone who has went into a Merle Norman store knows, the salesgirls are more than happy to let you try any and every variety of colors before you purchase, so you are sure to find your perfect shade with some trial and error. After finding your color, this is the only lipstick you will ever need.

3. Bath & Body Works Aromatherapy Mental Clarity- This roll-on scent is designed to be applied to any part of the body to increase alertness and clarity of the mind. Sold online and in stores, the small bottle can be carried discreetly in a purse for an instant pick me up. Made from rosemary and lemon essential oil a simple sniff of your wrist can give you a sense of focus and concentration due to the scent of the oils, which is quite subtle and not over powering.

4. Neutrogena Blackhead Eliminating 2 In 1 Foaming Pads- Wonderful for eliminating the toughest acne cases, these two sided cleansing pads are great at clearing blackheads and other blemishes without drying your face. Packaged in a reusable bag, the pads are designed with one side as a mild exfoliate and the other as a smooth polishing cloth. Used daily they really reduce outbreaks and are a wonderful wake-up for your face in the morning, especially in you are prone to outbreaks and/or oily skin.

5. Maybelline New York Volume Express Mascara- This new product definitely plumps lashes and goes on evenly without clumps. It never dries out prematurely and magnifies lashes without leaving clumps. It is made in both waterproof and non-waterproof versions, although I recommend waterproof as it tends to smudge during normal wear without the added protection.

So whatever your beauty concern may be -healthy skin, a special scent, flaw fixes or beauty enhancements, these five products can give you a head start in the care, concern, enjoyment and fun of enhancing your own natural beauty.
