How to spice up mac & cheese

The kids tired of that plain ol' mac and cheese. There are a lot of ways to mix it up. With groceries the price they are you have to really watch what you buy. Kids love new meals you can create with simple food items that you always have. I am sure every kid loves mac and cheese but they get bored with it easily.

Cook the macaroni and drain it When cooked, put in the cheese and add a bit of spaghetti sauce with hot dogs or polish sausage. Then throw in some Parmesan cheese and garlic powder. They will think it is a whole new meal.

My children are not that picky so love all the ways I cook with box mac and cheese. I cook the macaroni the way the box says, take cooked chicken chunks throw them in a casserole dish in the oven on 350 F for 15 minutes. A couple minutes before they are done toss in chunk tomatoes and stir. Finally, spread some shredded cheese on top, because you can never have enough cheese.

Most kids will eat certain foods because it looks cool. When you make this dish I am sure it will be a huge hit. You take mac and cheese cooked and ready, mix that with mashed potatoes that are already cooked. After you mix them together add in some flour until it is a thick consistency. When them batter is ready get a frying pan out and heat up some oil. So when the oil is nice and hot you plop about a tablespoon of batter in the pan. Cook the drops until they are tan or nice and crispy.

Sit the ketchup on the table and watch them just devour the new creation. There is really nothing to making new meals with box mac and cheese. You can just pretty much throw anything in it or just cook it any way you can think of. The possibilities are endless. Just so the kids know what it is I am sure they will have no problem eating a new way of the cheesy goodness you throw at them.
