Labor Day will soon be here, and I have some thoughts for fun outside games for families. These great Labor Day outside games, not only are enjoyable, they are also great for getting everyone some exercise before the cooler days of Fall arrive.

Beanbag pitch is a fun outside game that is ideal for Labor Day. This one is in teams of different sizes by old and young alike. However, both teams need to be similar in numbers so one team does not have an unreasonable benefit. All that is needed is a few bags of beans and something to catch them in such as a basket or a box.

Take turns standing back from the object the teams are tossing in, and score points for how close it is. Making it into the box is 10 points, hitting the outside is 5 and if the bag does not hit the box, the team scores nothing. Beanbags are simple to create, if you do not have beans use uncooked whole corn or even corncobs

Red Neck horseshoes is an excellent game to play as well on Labor Day. This fun outside game is played with a metal pipe like the one would have in a standard horseshoe pit but as an alternative you use toilet seats. If you are not sure, what this fun game is all about check out this video. People of all ages can enjoy this one.

A short time back, I wrote of a fun outside game called pole in the hole, which is a fun game for adults. However, I would amuse everyone by splitting into teams, the males against the females for clear reasons.

The purpose of this game is for the player with the pole to place it in the hole. The pole is placed sandwiched between the knees and cannot be touched with the hands. Now the hole is normally a full roll of paper towels in the knees of a team member. This game is amusing anytime but it will no doubt add to the pleasure of your Labor Day party.

A good outside game is fortune hunt and this can be great fun every guests who attends. Make sure the hints are age appropriate, easy to guess, and offer small gifts for each winner. You can pair up a child with an adult to create teamwork, but it is up to you as the host.

My favorite outside game is a piata, and it is just the thing for a fun-filled Labor Day party. For children, you can fill the piata with pencils, pens, stickers, or other small gifts to help them have a good time this Labor Day in style.

If you only have adults at the celebration, fill the piata with small adult-natured gifts. Only fill it with these if the adult friends have a sense of humor. Fill the piata with riches from the adult bookstore. Visualize the looks of your friends when they scramble for their prizes.
