Omega 3 and protein sources

When people think, "TUNA" several things can cross one's mind. From your perspective, I ask you the reader what makes you crave tuna fish? Is it the pleasant aftertaste? Is it the fantastic creations of mayonaisse that come with "TUNA" or is it something else?

It is this "something else," I'd like to share with you regarding my diet. Approximately a year ago, I was studying Omega 3 Fatty Acids and the benefits of fish oil in serving as a preventative measure to cancer. Tuna fish is chalk full of this substance. In addition, further reading proved to me that one is hard-pressed to find lean protein barren of excess fat. For the athletic-minded and healthy individual, tuna serves as one of the best forms of protein for the body.

Note, one can of tuna provides you with 30 grams of protein for the day, practically 70% of an average person's dietary need. Secondly, Omega 3 fatty Acids are abundant with fish oil, a substance proven very helpful for the heart. Finally, tuna comes with small percentages of fat making it even more appealing for weightlifters and sports fanatics.

Try tuna for three months in replacement of other sources of protein and see the difference like I did. I trimmed down from 225 to 196 pounds, and could not be happier, largely because of this change in my diet.

Go Tuna! and remember, buy "dolphin safe" containers to support manufacturers who use fishing devices in a manner to protect the accidental fishing of dolphins.
