Getting your kids to do their chores

Young children do need to help with the chores it is being part of a family. Age appropriate chores- Little's with help can manage to pick up after play. Older ones can enjoy setting the table taking out the rubbish. "Lets set the dinner table".
OK, everyone take out their dishes put them on the sink please!. Bill don't forget to put your dirty clothing in the laundry basket.Praise and respect works miracles.
Children are people charts don't work for all children some do enjoy the little star and reward at the end of the week, every one likes recognition for a job well done.
Children's differences need to be considered, what works for Bill may not work for Joe, so treat them as individuals first recognizing their capabilities to perform certain tasks.
Thank you and please go a long way. Most of all consistency it will only work if parents want it too. We are the adults, they are still our children. They look to us for guidance. Children like rules they like to know who is in control. It makes them feel safe and wanted. It can be fun or hell you choose.
