Poetry: Her sorrow

by Kyra Terrill

Created on: August 05, 2009

You watch her sit in the corner
Tears fallin' to the ground
You know inside her heart is breakin'
But you don't hear a sound
There's something you must know
There's something you must hear
It may not seem like much to you, but
It's written in her tears

You ripped her heart right from her chest
You stand and watch her die
Her tears of blood fall to the floor
As she begins to cry
She reaches out a hand for help
Don't you see it's you she needs?
She dies a little more each day
Every time she breathes

As every breath gets shorter
The days become more slow
There's something eating her inside
I think you need to know
You can see the pain she's holding back
You can read all the lies
Her pain is speaking for her
While you watch her as she cries

She'll drown forever in her sorrows
With tears she needs to cry
Every second that ticks away
She only wants to die
She needs to let you go
She needs to find a way
And face the reality
That you're not here to stay
