This is a new beginning for me, a fresh start. Yes! I have dreams and yes, I have goals. My desire to really follow my dreams this time began when I divorced my husband last year in 2008. My dad gave sound advice of always having a plan first coupled with goals so that you can pursue your dreams. Now, I have a game plan to go with my goals so that my dreams will come true.
I don't dwell on my yesterdays when the dark clouds were constantly looming over me. Instead, I focus only on the days that were sunny for me. I don't dwell on multiple defeats that I endured, but only on my victories that I have won. I focus on how I survived them and how they made me stronger each time. I don't dwell on my mistakes in the past when there is nothing I can do about them except to learn from them, and to not repeat them. I do not focus on my misfortunes, but instead, focus on how someone was always there for me from above, watching my back. I do not think about the plans of the past that did not work, but focus only on the new plans with greater wisdom. No longer do I choose to live a stagnant life, or go through the motions in life just to survive without enjoying my passion. Finally, I know what my passion is which is writing. I want to live, to be able to take a deep breath, and to simply have the opportunity to enjoy the simple things in life. My goal is to apply all my energy into writing, to take risks, find new ways to earn money online, trust in the Lord, and to follow my heart. I am focusing on healthier things that will better me. I am taking vitamins, am more health conscious as to what I eat, cutting back on the processed foods and soda, getting my mind geared up at to quit smoking, and I am considering yoga. I will have no doubts, worries of failure, or have any excuses to talk myself out of it. I will welcome the trial and errors along the way. I will be successful. I will complete my first book. I will visualize that I have completed my goals and already have all of my dreams. I will remain positive.
My dreams are coming true because of my determination. I have my new beginning. I have discovered who I am. My new found passion has given me purpose which has awakened me to a great desire. I only see what lies ahead. I see the rest of my dreams standing there, waiting for me with its arms wide open, ready to embrace me so that my dreams will come true. My actions kept me moving forward. My dreams of becoming a successful writer, to be able to work from home, to travel, enjoy new experiences, meet new people, make new friends, and to live comfortably is only a hop, skip, and a jump away. Eager anticipation fills me and having dreams that have come true along the way brings harmony, realizing that life is good.
