Poetry: Eyes

by Maria Shepherdson

Crying Eyes

A teardrop explodes

From the soul's leaking well

Wanders crookedly around the nose

The mouth

And from a quivering chin drops

Unheeded

Hits cloth

Splits

Into a myriad glittering pieces

And dries to salt.
