Creativity is something we all have within us. It is part of human nature, and it clearly has some evolutionary advantage which is why we all have to ability to be creative. Creativity is used to impress our partners with presents we collect for them, and dates we arrange. Creativity has given birth to a range of disciplines, art, literature, and even science. The ability to be creative probably arose from the need to communicate with each other, in order to improve our survival and to build our societies we know today. We use our creativity to express emotions which we know others have the capacity to relate to, but who can never literally share our own emotions. Creativity can be beautiful, but people can also use their creativity to harm and deceive people.

You will never lose your creativity, it is always within you, and even if you feel like you are not a creative person, just take a minute to really think about how you express your creative side. What types of meals do you cook? What combinations do you choose and create? Choice is a form of creativity, how have you decorated your home? What flowers have you chosen to use in your garden?

Creativity is a part of any hobby you might do, as well as a part of most of the everyday things you do in your life. Sometimes rediscovering your creativity might just be recognising just how creative you really are. If you have few hobbies, and only the everyday creativity of life, you might want to rediscover your creativity by starting a hobby you have always wanted to do, but just never got around to. Or perhaps, just spice up your cooking skills, or redecorate your house. People often feel a lack of creativity if their job does not embrace a creative side, but work can be as creative as you make it, what do you get up to in your work breaks? You could start a book club or a sports club with your colleges. You could try different techniques within your job because working towards success takes creativity.

The most important thing about creativity is to never give up when it gets difficult, new skills can take time to learn, but the creative rewards far outweigh the struggle. The great thing about creative hobbies is that they are usually the most enjoyable. Use your imagination, it is the key to your creative nature.
