Hush my baby, don't cry,
You will be safe and secure,
Let me wipe the tears from your eye,
And give you a kiss to reassure.
Hush my baby, just for the night,
So I can get some sleep,
I hear your voice awaken with fright,
Drown in the darkness where you weep.
Hush my baby, hush and be my lady,
I am caressing you with tenderness and love,
Hush my baby; listen to this beautiful lullaby,
And the intrigue of your nightmare will move.
Hush my baby, and share your heats contents,
You are simply looking for comfort,
To calm the storm of such events,
Walking through the night in discomfort.
Hush my baby; your tears are too hot,
You will need the flames subdue act,
Thrilled by life's ravishing plot,
I will calm the fears you expect.
