Poetry: The masks we wear

by E Kuzmenko

Created on: August 05, 2009

Blonde hair. Blue eyes. Pink lips.

Perfection.

With the Prada bag. And high heels.

She smiles and waves when they are watching.

But when they aren't.

She dosen't. Smile.

There are tears in those blue eyes. Behind the sunglasses

she puts on.

Covering her. Life.

The truth. Covered.

Passing by me,

I see. She is me.

I am. Her. Wearing the mask.

We all put on. Together.

At the start.

Carrying it to the.

End.
