How to get more physical activity into your life

Well being that I have Cerebral Palsy on my left side from a stroke at nineteen months old, it can be very hard sometimes to get around. But I am able to get to where I want to be. I do a lot of physical activities like some walking, cooking working at my job. I have a job that I am up on my feet everyday of the week and walking around and helping people. From time to time I sit, when I get tried. But, usually I like to stand, because my legs get stiff.

When I am home I try to clean and keep moving around and doing other activities to keep busy. I enjoy going to movies and other places. I am not the type of person who likes to just sit around and not be doing anything, I have to be doing something with myself. I just can't sit down and do nothing.

I spent most of my life in and out of hospitals with my Cerebral Palsy and I couldn't go outside and play with other kids or go to a playground and being a normal kid. I wasn't able to do the outdoors activities like other children did at my age. I couldn't ride a bike. But, as I have gotten older, I could jump, play on the sliding broad and run like the other big kids. It felt so good to be like one of the kids doing the the same physical activity as they did. I always felt like I was a outsider, because of my disability, and people treated me different from everyone. In school, we would have a friendly game of dodge ball, and they would be scared to hit me, because of my disability. The were afraid that they would hurt me, but I just wanted to fit in with the gang.

So, in my life time I have gotten a lot of physical activity, some good and some bad. The bad physical activity is when I have to walk down my hill to the bus stop and I am out of shape. My hill goes straight down and it is a long hill, and I have to pull this hill every morning at 5:00 to go to work. Some time I can walk down this hill in a half -hour or sometime in twenty five minutes it depends on how my legs are feeling in the morning. I usually go down the hill so I can go back up it. That took a lot of physical activity just to get down the hill in the morning, because I am so out of shape.
