Finding the best jeans for your figure

Blue jeans. The epitome of American fashion. They are comfortable, unrestrictive and, when we find that pair that fits just right, they can be extremely sexy. When we find that perfect pair of jeans we tend to wear them for years and years-until there are rips, holes, frayed hemlines and they are worn to the mere thickness of a sheet of paper. To find that perfect pair of heavenly bliss disguised as denim can be challenging at best. Jeans are the perfect go-to piece when wondering what to wear. They can be casual worn with flats and a simple top. They can sizzle with heels and a printed blouse. They have the power to transform us into style chameleons by changing the way we accessorize them. To find that perfect pair of jeans, keep your body type in mind, and follow my simple rules.

There are some simple guidelines to follow regardless of your body type when determining if the fit is right on your body. The waist should sit comfortably without digging in. The skin above should not expand above the waistband. If it does, you need to increase the size. If you are wearing hip-hugging styles, sit down when trying them on to be sure that the waist doesn't expose more than what you're willing to show. The outline of the pockets of your jeans should not show through the fabric. If they do, you are wearing jeans that are much too tight. The rise, or the distance between the crotch and waist, should fit without being so tight as to constrict, nor should it hang low, which can appear frumpy. As far as leg width is concerned, they should be rather straight. A slight boot cut is flattering to most figures, while tapered jeans are flattering to a very select few. The length of the leg should be so that the hem falls just to the top of the foot. If you wear heels, the hem should fall midway down the heel of the shoe. When it comes to the fit in the butt area, some people prefer jeans that hug and show off the figure, while others prefer a style that is less revealing. This is a matter of personal style, but avoid anything that is too tight or too loose, as either way is not flattering.

Everyone's body style is different and what looks great on one person may not look good on another. It is important to dress for the body that you have. There are some things to keep in mind when shopping for jeans, depending on what your body type is. If you are curvy, it is best to avoid tight jeans. A straight cut that fits just away from the body is ideal. If you
