I HEARD YOU...
I heard you lived in Palestine
Born from a virgin womb,
But all I found were drops of blood
Beside an empty tomb
I heard you lived among the stars
I searched the Pleiades,
But only found an angels' song
Upon the cosmic breeze...
I heard you lived within our minds
As mans' philosophy,
So I traversed its twists and turns
But earned a fools' degree...
Then you whispered in my ear
And filled my heart with song;
I found you walking at my side -
You'd been there all along!
