Short stories: Secret love

Part 1: Her Temptation

She knew it was wrong, but she couldn't stop herself from doing it. The thought of having to stop pushed her to do it more. The absolute ecstasy she felt was a feeling she got from nothing else.

Every moment of the process brought a different type of excitement, and it was a process she knew well. It would start with the daydream of doing it, the anxiety to do it again, and eventually the decision to follow through. The decision excited her heart. Her pupils got big, her heart began to race, the corners of her lips slowly turned upward. She knew she was going to do it soon.

Next she started planning; when and where she would do it, what she needed to bring, how long it would take. The excitement of planning it and dreaming about it brought butterflies to her stomach. This was where she could get adventurous; she could try new things and explore different outcomes. She knew it was going to make her release everything she was holding onto.

The next step was doing it; going through the motions, feeling the feelings. Her body reached another level; suddenly every nerve ending was sensitive to the intoxication of life. Her heart was relaxed yet excited. Her mind, body, and spirit were satisfied. It didn't matter what was going on in the world because SHE was in a state of harmonious peace...she had reached her nirvana, if only for a few moments.

The final step was when her conscience returned. She knew she had done something wrong and that excited her still. She knew she would do it again. It felt so good when she did it. And she knew that anything that felt this good must be bad, especially if you felt like you needed to keep it a secret. But as the song goes "if loving you is wrong then I don't wanna be right." And she loved what she was doing; she loved who she was doing it with. She loved that she was having her own secret love affair.

Part 2: Her Imposition

Her name was Vivian Cunningham. The name was enough to scare the shit out of half the partners at the firm, but it wasn't her name that got her to where she was, it was her hard work that made her a woman to be respected. Not only was she the only female partner but she was also one of the youngest, yet she worked harder than any of the law partners there. It hadn't taken long for them to offer her a position she couldn't refuse. And now that she had her title she realized that she would do anything to keep it. Which is why nobody could ever know that she had a forbidden lover.
