The River of Truth
The truth? Who determines the truth, the man who claims to, or the one who created the man?
There was a time when certain men proclaimed to have knowledge of the truth
They told us that our world was flat
they proclaimed that the sun revolved around the earth
If one challenged these truths, they were blasphemers, liars, and heretics
They faced ridicule, condemnation, punishment, even death
In time though, the truth would be come to light ,
for light of truth cannot be hidden in darkness forever,
In the light of the truth the world was seen as, a sphere,
and the sun was the center of our solar system
Our world being, only one of many that revolved around its life giving light
So like the river that through perseverance carves a canyon through the hardest rock
The truth slowly carves away the deception of lies, and eventually triumphs
over all attempts to deny it
Today we see these truths as self-evident
These are but a few examples of the truths of man that inevitably are exposed as lies,
In my search for truth, I have observed this perverse tendency of man
Certain men believe they are the keeper of the truth
These men, they live lives of delusion, in a quest for power
For truth exists only in the one, the divine creator, whose purpose is of such great magnitude
Mere humans can never fully comprehend its magnificence
So the soul driven by thirst of lies
Searches for the river of truth to quench it
Once this river is found the soul is compelled to drink,
And then our transformation begins
The eyes open, and sees what was always there, but hidden
The mind awakens, and understands what was misunderstood
The heart finds love for all not only the good, but the also the bad,
the beautiful, and the ugly
We then begin again, we become as we were before there was time
We transform our very existence
Forever following this river of truth, as it flows through all things, on its return the one ocean of eternity
