Sociologists all over the nation and at various colleges have done studies on racial inequality and found some startling results. First they lookrd into the education offered in predominantly black neighborhoods, and found that many times textbooks in these schools are so outdated as to teach that Richard Nixon is still in office. At the same time technology in these schools is so far outdated that it is nearly impossible to use to gain access and information from the internet.
It is interesting that so many people who carry on about the fair chance given to all people, are rarely from such an underpriviliged place. How can a person of any color that attends one of these poor schools hope to compete in college or the real world with an inferior education? Perhaps they all have an equal opportunity to go to school, but more often than not when you are speaking about inner city predominantly black schools the education itself IS NOT by any standards equal.
Tests and polls have also proven that race is a major factor in sentencing in the United States. Two men can go before nearly identical juries, with identical records, and identical cases, and when found guilty the sentence for the black man is always lengthier than the sentence for the white man. That is just proven math. There is no propaganda there.
Why lay this at the feet of the Democratic party, when the current administration has done nothing to aid in the reform of these schools? Democrats and black people both are taking the blame here, when often the blacks ARE indeed victims, and if the administration would look into improving the education offfered in inner city schools, and reforming a prison system that targets black citizens, there would be no need to lend a helping hand at all.
It is past time for people to start looking to causes of these issues and putting their efforts into removing these causes, the approach of treating the symptoms does nothing but prolong the disease.
