What I Think Of Obama Closing Gitmo

Would you want terrorists in your backyard? President Obama has signed an executive order to close the U.S. prison at the Guantanamo Bay Naval Base. Pennsylvania Rep. Jack Murtha (D) has already said he would be willing to house prisoners from Guantanamo Bay in his congressional district if the president closes the prison.

If we bring these terrorists to the U.S. to be detained, questioned or tried, they will be able to make the argument if brought to court, that they have certain constitutional rights based on our own laws. Their lawyers (which we will have to pay for) will be able to argue their innocence and if freed, would even be able to argue they have a right to remain here in the U.S.

In the end I can see people actually arguing they should be allowed to stay here. That they have changed and are no longer or were never really a threat to us. The terrorists didn't need to sneak into the U.S. they just had to get caught and wait for Mr.Obama to bring them inside our borders (despite the fact nobody wants these guys in their backyard) and wait to be freed which is exactly what will have to happen in the end.

They will be freed because for a million reasons (mainly our liberal federal court system that legislates from the bench) they cannot be tried here or anywhere else. Even if the majority who are from Yemen were sent to prison, there the prisons in Yemen will not hold them for long.

Anyway you look at it... these guys are all gonna be freed in the end thanks to Obama's first executive orders as President. This and all the other policies of the Democrats and Obama should be proof positive to the nation that the Democrats and Obama are either completely inept or have an evil plan to destroy America and I don't believe for a second that they are dumb and neither should you.

Somehow we the people need to make sure that no matter what, we do not let this happen. No one can argue that these people are not at war with us. We cannot be assured that they would not return to the battlefield where they could kill more Americans. We cannot allow these terrorist who are war criminals to be freed or to set foot on U.S. soil EVER!
