Discovering the joys of naturism


There is an area of hidden delights and enjoyments, probably very close to where you live. Not so much a specific area as a state of mind, a feeling that one can enjoy with very little or no cost. That is Nudism, or also referred to as Naturism. Especially the outdoor variety, although one can be nude indoors with no effort whatsoever. Just do not dress after you get up (remove that underwear too).

While indoor nudism can be an interesting experience, and has its own benefits, I particularly enjoy the outdoor kind. There are many benefits! One can experience the caress of breezes over the entire body. You feel as if for the first time your entire body can breathe. You become more unified with the natural world, our mother Earth, as a whole. This is what primitive man must have felt like. To swim in a river, especially, and then air dry in the sun, is an amazing sensation. Or, to stand nude in a rainstorm can be another experience. The raindrops are like a thousand tiny caresses, or when cooler, shocks. When you do this, and then go in and towel off afterwards, your skin feels more alive than it has ever felt before. There is something we seem to gain from this that has been lost with the advent of modern civilization.

Another advantage to nudism is the relatively low cost involved. For the cost of gas to drive to a remote location, one can enjoy nudism outdoors, and even make a day of it: Sunning, swimming if there is a river or lake available, picknicking, napping naked. Additionally, your health is improved by the hiking around (or even swimming) you do, with the attendant aerobic benefits. You are outdoors, getting fresh air, exercising and having a good time. If you do this with a significant other, some wonderful sex can be involved as well. That feeling of naughtiness being nude outside is also a thrill for some. Several advantages wrapped up neatly in one adventurous activity. Well worth considering. Just be sure you have a very secluded area, or even private property.

Some disadvantages can be as follows: Insects. Always have some bug spray handy, and be watchful for things like ticks landing on you (brush them off immediately). If you go barefoot, you can get stuck by sharp objects and so forth. A pair of sandals is a handy thing to have. The biggie here, though, is public disapproval. Many people get not only turned off but offended by other peoples nudism. This is unfortunate (lots of closed minds out there), but a fact of life to be dealt with. Some precautions one can take are: Make sure the blinds are shut, get to a very secluded area, or fence in your property thoroughly. Join a nudist club or organization. We/they know where one can go to safely be naked outdoors. Some will host events at their houses. Don't push your luck. Things like flaunting your nudism in front of families with small children, or driving naked in broad daylight where any and all can see will bring down the wrath of society on you. And I can kind of see their point! Common sense applies here, as everywhere.

To sum it up: Outdoor nudism can be a very enjoyable experience. A great way to bond with other people, and with the natural world. It gives you a greater awareness of the outdoors, and even the litter and other damages we have done to it in the past. As long as one uses common sense, this can be an inexpensive and very enjoyable activity. Have fun!
