Should tattooed and pierced people be role models? The answer is yes! Even more so there are people with tattoos and piercings that are role models.
First and foremost, a tattoo or a piercing doesn't make you who you are. If a person can influence another in a positive way, then they should be able to. I believe it's not because of having a tattoo or piercing, it's the nature of the two that arises this question. This applies to tattoos rather than piercings. Tattoos allow a person to express a piece of art on their body, however they want. Now if someone has a negative display of a tattoo on their body they shouldn't be a role model. This isn't because of the tattoo, it's because of how the person feels or who they are. Some people have over 20 piercings, but they could be the nicest person in the world. It's the nature of the appearance that some may fear. This would be even more so saying that, being a role model is based off of appearance, which is not true.
Why can't a person with a R.I.P. tattoo be a role model? Why can't a person with both eyebrows pierced be a role model? They can and a lot are! Should people wih no tattoos or piercings be role models? The answer is yes and like all human beings are different, in this case what makes them any different?
Some pastors have tattoos/piercings and what do people see them as? Along with activist, mothers, fathers, etc., we see these people as role models. I have tattoos and piercings and I'm not saying I'm a role model. I see myself likely to be, because of who I am and how I feel. Even though these are displays of expression, they don't make me who I am. I want to change the world for the better and influence others to do the same. A tattoo or a piercing can't stop me, nor does it change the fact.
How many people in the world simply have ear piercings? Too many in fact and maybe even more than people without them. Ear piercings still count as a piercing and with this conclusion that counts for the majority of the worlds role models. Whether it's tattoos or piercings, anyone who wants to be, can be a role model. I can, you can, we all can!
