Soul Flight
Once I was a tiny spark,
Waiting, dormant in the dark.
Then I left my silent tomb
And grew inside a warm, dim womb.
I lay beneath my mother's heart,
Till formed complete in every part
I made my entrance to the world,
A newborn, perfect baby girl.
Then I breathed and learned to smile,
Reaching upward all the while.
My body thrived beneath the sun,
I walked and soon began to run.
The years went by, my life was good,
I laughed and loved and understood
That in God's image I was wrought
And all must stand before His court.
My body lay beneath the ground,
My loved ones gathered all around,
And though while grieving at their loss,
Their comfort lay within the cross,
Till reunited we all stand,
Eternal souls on holy land.
Now high above the skies I soar,
My God to serve for evermore.

All these days
I am never quite sure where this life is leading me,
whether I am in control.
Maybe there is such a thing as fate,
or maybe
