Have you ever wondered how they got those cute little links on the end of the emails or even the banners? Have you tried so many times to implement your own but with no success? Well I will show you how to implement this nifty little feature on Microsoft Outlook Express.
The first thing you need to do is to open Microsoft Word compose your links, example below.
<a href="http://www.theelusivepotofgold.com">The Elusive Pot of Gold</a>
<a href="http://www.blogsire.com/pnuke/html/">BlogSire's Games Palace</a>
<a href="http://www.theelusivepotofgold.com/phpBB2/inde x.php">
<IMG src="http://www.theelusivepotofgold.com/postnuke/mys ig/pogoldforum.gif" </a>
Anything in between "" is the actual link, but will be invisible in your email. All that the recipient will see is The Elusive Pot Of Gold, or The Games Palace, but if someone clicks on these it will take them to your site.
The last one, instead of a title will display a banner of your choosing. You must of course make sure you have uploaded the banner to your server. The information coming after IMG shows the location to my image.
This is your signature, and can now be saved on your hard drive. You must save it as a html file. Now to configure Outlook Express.
1: Open Outlook Express.
2: Click on Tools, scroll down and click on Options.
3: Click on the Signatures tab.
4: Go down to Edit Signature and select the File option
5: Now you simply click the browse tab and point to the file you had just saved.
6: Click Apply and OK.
You are done. Send yourself an email and check it out.
All going well this is what the above will show as your signature:
