Poetry: Summer nights
by Kendra Allen
SUMMER 1969
Sometimes when evening falls too soon
And years slip by too fast,
I shake the autumn from my hair
And dream of
Summer nights beside a lake shared with a friend in the peacefulness that
spreads itself across the earth at the end
Come walk with me this magic night
Let a golden moon light our way
As cicada chirps count our steps
And drown the secret words
by Sarah Flora
Summer nights are listening to frogs sing by the pond.
Summer nights are laying in a hammock, enjoying the breeze.
Summer
Summer nights.
Sitting in the porch swing,
With you close by my side,
Swaying to our hearts' rhythm,
In the fragrant summer
