The family is meeting up again, there is so many of us
A picnic by the seaside once again seems the only way
Aunts and uncles, cousins and nieces, nephews and the like
We could almost have our own football team
But some are old and slow or weak
Bert will bring the salads he does a mighty job
Lillian will bring the cakes and dips
Uncle John will bring his dog
There will be babies in strollers and teenagers with their music on their ears
Lots of them will be grandmas and grandpas, many in their eighties
It is always such a great day when all meet up again
It happens at least once a year
