There is a genuine way to make money online. Some people refer to it as a home business or online business, others talk about doing online jobs or freelance work. You might not think of it as a real job but it is real work. You have to earn commission, build a passive income or get paid for completing freelance projects. It takes time to make money. You cannot make money online instantly, but you can build a good income slowly.

* Paid to click programs: Small amounts of money for clicking links to view ads and promotional sites every day.

* Paid survey sites: Filling in online surveys when available, usually for vouchers or points.

* Direct sales: Selling used books on Amazon, auctioning new or used items on eBay, trading at specialist websites.

* Writing articles and reviews: Earning income from paid-to-write sites that pay upfront and share ad revenue.

* Blogs and websites: Using Google Adsense, or any program that pays for banner views, clicks or referrals, to make money on a blog or website.

* Affiliate marketing: Joining networks and programs to promote digital products, software, manuals and guides, earning commission on each sale.

To make money online you will be working part time, or it can become full time employment, so think carefully about how you want to spend your time online. Decide whether you want to earn extra money from affiliate marketing or by promoting programs; earn money running a website or by blogging; become a paid writer or do other freelance work; make profits from selling or get occasional payouts from paid-to-click programs and survey sites.

When you sign up for a program, be sure you are joining a trustworthy site, and protect yourself from work at home scams. Money making schemes do not make payments to all members. Try to find out how long the site has been online and how many users it has. You take a chance when you join something new, but that may be better than having to compete with millions of people promoting the same program.

- Create your own website, blog or promotional page. You should have at least one blog or a webpage that can draw visitors from search results, and which you have as your profile link at social sites.

- Be original. People are more likely to sign up from your referral link, or purchase what you are promoting, when you create original content and write your own reviews and testimonials.

- Use your creative skills to make money online. Write if you are an effective writer, build websites if you have technical skills, create promotional videos or original images. Make good use of all your valuable skills. These will help you to make money online, and you can get paid for providing your expert services.

- Acquire good marketing skills. These are easy to learn and you can find out all you need to know, for free, when you join money making forums, read articles and network with people who are successful at making money online.

You do not need any qualifications to make money online, but you do need enthusiasm. When you become active in marketing, promoting and networking online, you make more money from your own efforts and hard work, without the need to get a "real" job
