Promises aren't meant to be broken
You promised me you would change
You haven't, I still feel the pain
I listen to my Mommy cry
As you yell and tell her to die
You promised you would make it right
You would get me home
But I'm not there am I?
Why do people break promises
Especially when they say they love someone
You promised you would never leave
But you did, you walked out on your family
You promised to love my Mom and treat her like a queen
But since when do queens cry
I guess what I want to know
If you loved us why did you go
You broke every promise you ever made
Now please, just go away

Poetry: Broken promises
by Jenifer Rose
Sometimes it seems
I've spent most of my life
Hoping someone, somewhere
Would keep a single promise to me
They are made
When I said it, it was true, it stood out clearly proven by the shadows it cast on the path ahead of us,
As we walked I
There are times in your life
When even those you love
Should be struck down by vengeance
From the Heavens up above.
Don't
Promises made and broken,
Hopes raised and then dashed.
Sweet words have been spoken,
But My Darling, is this the time promises
Broken Promises
When the wind blows,
You give me a promise.
When the seagull crows,
You give me a promise.
When it's the light
