I wanted to know when whoever was out there in the night sky
would come and get me off this two bit mound of dirt and rock.
They never came. But I know they are out there. To make them
notice me I built large fires and made everyone I know dance around it.
They still didn't come. I built large stone structures and sacrificed
family and friends and others I didn't know.
No one noticed. I trained armies and made them give their lives
for images we created to represent them. Millions were slain.
Not a whisper. I've given money and things to crazy people to
commit attrocities in the name of something that is not even here.
No visit, no signs, no spaceships, no miracles, no angels,
no chariots of fire, nothing, nothing, nothing, nothing.
