Poetry: Treasure

Remission.

Crystal, shining,

shimmering

in the distance

like an oasis

in the desert.

Am I anything other

than someone

whose mouth is cracked and dry?

Crawling on my belly

through burning sands of chemo

longing for water?

Re-mission.

A new mission

waiting for me

when i arrive.

when I arrive.
