Why must I choose?
I can create worlds and people.
Some fantastic,
Some just plain ordinary.
All with messages to tell,
Adventures to share,
And imaginations to inspire.
The phone rings.
A thought interrupted.
People to help.
Money to be made.
My heart's passion put on hold,
For yet another moment,
That turns into a day,
Then a week,
A month.
Oh, now another year.
The creative.
The practical.
Two powerful forces,
With me caught between.
Why must I choose?
When they are both a part of me.
