What kinds of attractions draw the mass variety of people to the San Francisco Bay area? Various attractions, events, and its supple atmosphere! Driving through the red-cabled harp-strung bridge that sings with vehicles heading to the Bay area, prepare to reach for your wallet. The 2009 bridge toll is $5 and for fast track include an extra buck, making your total $6. The toll is well worth the breathtaking views of the water that rest beneath the bridge and the city that lures a variety of individuals with unique events and well-established businesses.
A major compliment to the Bay area is Fisherman's Wharf, sitting on the ridge of the waterfront. It entices its visitors with the diversity of fresh seafood from nearby restaurants and the unique shops and performers to amaze its costumers. The Cannery atmosphere serves in events such as flamethrowers, animal tamer or singer musician, to name a few, a performer's haven!
The cannery was established in 1907 as the world's largest vegetable and fruit cannery. It now caters to its guest with shops, restaurants, and an ice cream parlor. Don't forget to grab your favorite scoop of creamy delight to enjoy while strolling the wharf. Jack's Cannery Bar and Oyster Pier features a choice of seafood, salad sandwiches, or appetizers for a meal or snack. Plan on dinners up to $9.95. Sip a frozen margarita at the Las Margarita or choose from their flexible menu from a Fiesta Dip for $5.25 to a New York Steak for $17.25.
Reserve a table in advance to be impressed with the fine dining at the First Crush Restaurant. Braised Lamb, Oyster Rockefeller, or a Crush Salad are some of the items to savor your appetite. With a Post Street Theater ticket a three-course meal without tax or gratuity would cost $30 per person at this fine dining location.
What is one of the best ways to bring out the youth? Visit the Golden Gate Recreational Park where the sport fan, artist, tree lover, gardener, and community tourist unite! Frisbee, badminton, golf or various common sports may be found here. The staff and the gardeners take pride in this recreational park known as the community garden and the Palace of Fine Arts. Make sure not to miss the secret gem, Point Bonita, a charming and maintained lighthouse that is open for visitors on weekends and Mondays 12:30 - 3:00pm.
Inhale the sea air and the pleasures while observing the cable car at the Hyde Street Pier, or catch a ride on a cable car. The fees vary depending on destinations. Coast on the
