Commonsense weight loss tips

There are many ways that people can lose weight. Some of them are common sense but others aren't. In this article we will discuss what some common sense weight loss tips are.

First off, eat less calories than you burn off. Simple as that. If you burn 2500 calories a day, only eat 2000 calories. Over tie if you eat more calories than you consume then you will gain weight. The average weight gain for a healthy adult is about two to four pounds a year. If you eat on average one hundred more calories than you consume, you are increasing this number to ten to twenty pounds a year. People say that they can not do it because it is not enough food and they are still hungry. There is a simple way to fix this, eat healthy. Fruits and vegetables fill you up better than bread or meat. This means that you can eat more but consume the same amount of calories or less.

Another common sense weight loss tip is to exercise. Almost every personal trainer will tell you that in order for you to lose weight, you will need to exercise three days a week of at least twenty minutes and a high intensity level. This does not mean go to the gym, sit on a bike, and just pedal. You need to get your heartrate up because you will only burn fat at your maximum heart rate. Your maximum heart rate is 220-age and times that number by both .6 and .8. Only between these two numbers will you burn fat. So if you do go to the gym and ride a bike, make sure you ride it fast enought to get your heart rate up.

Probably the last common sense weight loss tip is to not eat right before bed. I myself try not to eat after seven o'clock. Eating right before you go to bed is bad for several reasons. First, you are putting energy iinto your body which can cause you not to sleep as well. Second, when you eat right before you go to bed, the food just sits in your stomach. No matter what you eat, the amount of calories you burn off at night, will be no way near the amount of calories you consumed right before bed. Plus not eating right before bed basically give you a kick start for the next day. When you wake up you are already in the negatives for calories burned.

Anyone can lose weight if they know the right ways. All you have to do is just follow these simple tips and you will be on your way to a nice thin body.
