Battle for the best sport

For many years people have been arguing about which sport is the best. Some say soccer, others say football. Although soccer does have the most viewers around the world, that does not necessarily mean it is the best sport. There are hundreds of sports around the world, some most have never heard of. But I believe that the best sport ever is football.

Think about it, grown men running as fast as they can hitting each other onto the ground. What is better than that? People get knocked out, broken bones, concussions, and can even die. I have never heard of anyone dying while playing a soccer game. The most exciting thing I have ever seen in a soccer game is a fight. Although the broken bones in soccer are pretty gnarly.

There is no doubt, soccer has the biggest audience of any other sport in the world. But like I said before, it doesn't matter. I believe that if football was played worldwide, and is big as it is in the United States, it would definitely beat soccer. Here in the U.S. people can not get enough of football. Comcast and Verizon are even starting to show every single game of the season. People in the U.S. are die hard fans, they will pay any amount to watch football.

Now I'm not saying fans of soccer are not die hard ones. Every now and then you hear about a major riot where hundreds of people are injured and millions of dollars worth of stuff is destroyed. I'm not going to lie, I love seeing these moments on T.V. I believe that this is what keeps the sport alive, the violence and the thrill.

The main reason why I think football is the best sport is because it takes the most skill. A single player must memorize an entire playbook which could be hundreds of plays. They also must take these plays and be able to execute them in a matter of seconds. Football players are also some of the most disciplined. If a person they are supposed to block gets by them, it could destroy the play. If someone lines up against them and they move, they most know who to block next, again within a matter of seconds.

If you were to take these two sports and put them up against each other, football would be able to destroy anyone one of those soccer players. But if the soccer players are able to, they could run farther and faster than most of the football players. Even still, football is the best sport in the world.
