BE FILLED
God's main purpose for creating man is that he should have dominion here on earth. God rules in heaven, and man should rule here on earth. In Genesis 1:26, God says let us make man in our image, according to our likeness, let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth, but man listened to Satan and disobeyed God. Henceforth Man's dominion was taken legally over by Satan because man had committed high treason.
God had earlier warned Adam that the day he will eat of the tree of knowledge of good and evil, he will die. That meant separation between the Spirit of God and the spirit of man. God's word never changes. Only a spirit having a body can exercise dominion on the earth, Satan can't unless he dominates a human body. Even God has bound Himself by His word and He can only rule here on earth through man.
Man's spirit should never be empty, because either God or Satan will be exercising dominion on earth through him. Only man decides who between God and Satan should fill empty space in his spirit and be able to exercise influence here on earth.
According to Matthew 12:43-45 when an unclean spirit goes out of a man, he goes through dry places, seeking rest, and finds none, then he says, I will return to my house from which I came, and when he comes he finds it empty, swept and put in order . Then he goes and takes with him seven other spirits more wicked than himself, and they enter and dwell there and the last state of the man is worse than the first. There is a saying that power abhors vacuum. The Man's spirit was empty, and the wicked spirit moved in so that it could exercise dominion, the wicked spirit found it could not occupy all the empty space and invited seven others.
I see a principle here that, man's spirit must never be empty. The spirit must always be full of the Holy Spirit, not even half full, so as to exercise legitimate power here on earth. The difference between God and Satan in this issue is that Satan forces himself into people's hearts (spirits), but God asks our permission to operate in us. When we allow God to fill us with the Holy Spirit He exercises His influence here on earth.
In Acts1:8 Jesus says that we shall receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon us. The effects of being full of the Holy Spirit are evident in Acts 6:5&8. Stephen was a man full of faith and the Holy Spirit and power; he did great wonders and signs among
