Best 3D character animation software
Okay, lets get into it. There is lots of software out there that I could tell you about. However, there isn't much to say about most of them. Most of those software packages are amateur at best. But that's not to say that there are not any that are worthy of your use, and get this, some of the best tools for 3D character development and animation are free of charge.
Firstly lets discuss "Poser 3D." A highly advanced character animation software. It focuses mainly with character modeling and animation, seems simple right. Well let me explain. You can create characters with almost any 3D design software but some can provide a very realistic feel for you animation. Poser is good for this, but is not always the better program. Take for example "Blender 3D." It is one of the high end 3D packages that comes for many OS's[operating systems]. And it's absolutely free at this link: HERE! You can create 3D models, including characters that really catch the eye.
But is there something better? Well you could take a look at "3D Studio MAX," but I would only recommend this software for beginners. The software in early stages of animation and 3D modeling was a must have, however it was eventually replaced with more advanced software, and let me explain why. The growing demand for CGI[Computer Generated Images] or 3D animation had grown and so did the need for more complicated scenery as the film industry usually does. So, as a result the 3D industry filled the void. "Houdini 3D" was the result of that demand. A high-end program that delivered spectacular graphic simulations that really swallow the scenes. There is no getting around the fact that "Houdini 3D" really replace the competition. There is no limit to it's character creation capabilities either. Have you seen the newest "Hulk" film. Houdini was responsible for his character and all of his animation. In fact most of the newest films from this decade have had some sort of involvement with "Houdini 3D." You can find out more about Houdini at this link: HERE!
Even still there is more at hand. There is also "Maya." This program is often mistaken for "3D Studio Max." And it should both of these products are made by the same company, "Auto desk." Auto desk has released a variety of software programs. There products range from, CAD to CGI. Now there CAD programs are very good, and I would recommend them to any. Here the catch with the CAD however. There products are not free. You can check out a number of FREE TRIALS, but there products must be bought in order to use them fully. There are some school related discounts and you may be able to work a deal with your tech teacher to get your own FREE copy. But while Maya is very good and is even more powerful the 3D Studio Max it is mainly for scene and light design. But to get a first hand look at the Auto desk softwares for yourself just check out this link: HERE!
Well most people ask me what is the best 3D Software for character design and if you haven't gotten it already then here's the answer. It depends really on what you want out of your 3D. Houdini can provide a very detailed design that can be rendered unstoppable by it's competition. While Maya is very good it can provide a very cartoon-like appeal to your characters design. And even still Blender 3D can provide a very intense gaming look. While finally Poser 3D can provide absolute control of a character system that is built right into its program. So really it's up to you but in this case. Check them out and see for your self is what I can really say to any one who asks me, and it's what I will continue to tell any one face to face.
