The Curious Moon

There it was with the sun making shadows

Looking in my room
It comes to me in my sleep

The curious moon

Glowing dim and bright in my dreams

Peeking from 'hind the clouds

Shining on waves of clouds like a sea

Flying over day gone down

The room is lit by the lunar glow

Reaching through blue dark

The curious moon opens the window

To show me all the stars

There was the sky white with light

Shining like an angel smile

The curious moon had reached curious heights

And followed me many miles

I said
Why do you need to know wherever I go?

Is it anywhere you need to be?

Following me 'round with mysterious glow

What do you think you'll see?

I travel to nowhere

I come and I go

What do you care that I do?

The curious moon just looked through my room

And followed where the sun went to
