Society will never become controlled by technology, if only for the simple fact that, though a technological device, idea or product can instigate emotions or provide convenience, it will always take an individual human or animal to be able receive and reciprocate that emotion and use that convenience on some level. Every individual in society has there own nervous system, emotional, physical and varying other factors, that can never be recreated exactly similar, individual and uniquely for every living being, by any technological advancement.
Technological devices are only able to produce a generalized outcome based on a specific program, design or idea. Living, sensing, feeling and emotional beings are able to make a choice in how they will react to any specific technological idea. Although it may seem that two living beings may have the same identical reaction to any specific technological device, how we are raised, environments we live in, education and what we experience throughout our lifetime, is what any living being uses to make the choice for their own unique individual reaction to any form of technology, new or old. Because every person experiences different things throughout their lifetime, there would be no possible, feasible way for any technological device to ever compete or keep up.
Technology simply gives individuals an alternative choice, to conveniences, advancement, learning and entertainment. Some individuals refuse to accept or make the choice to have any technology at all, there are these individuals that as a result, will never be subjected or exposed to technology, whether by choice or environmental conditions.
Because every person has the ability to sense, feel and experience different things in their lifetime, there will always be some in society who will never get the opportunity to experience technology, leaving them the choice and freedom to do as they please. As a result, society will never be controlled by technology, because we all have the ability to choose what we want in our own lives. Society also, needs real human contact even in the smallest form, to recognize our own unique individuality, emotionally. This is something that cannot be recreated, mimicked or expressed, accurately by any technological advancement. There are so many in society that are different, individual and unique.
