What about the "Cash for Clunkers" program?

How to get more from Cash For Clunkers from Ford, Toyota, Honda, Hyundai more!

Cash for Clunkers, $4,500 for that old heap! You can do far better, here is how!

You need a car that gets poor gas mileage like less than 18 MPG that you want to trade in towards a new Ford, Toyota, or any other fuel efficient car! If you qualify you will receive a $4,500 credit from the govt to use on your new car! Minivan, SUV

Honda, Chrysler, Hyundai almost all cars can benefit!

These are some of the rules...

The care must have been manufactured less than 25 years before the date you trade it in
Must have a "new" combined city/highway fuel economy of 18 miles per gallon or less
Must be in drivable condition and
Must have been continuously insured and registered to the same owner for the full year preceding the trade-in

Now you may say well i don't have a car that qualifies, do not worry. Think about your older relatives that may not drive much or at all, but still have an old boat of a car registered and sitting in their driveway! The car needs to run but does not have to run well, just any old clunker that can rumble into the dealers lot will work!

Help out grandpa, or Aunt Edna and trade the car in their name. This way you help them out, get a clunker off the road and benefit from the 1st $4,500 bonus. But there is more, you will be helping out by getting an old heap off the road and driving a more efficient car!

Chrysler has just started to add $4,500 of their own bonus on top of this so now you have a $9,000 bonus to apply to say a $17,000 car, but it gets better!

Car dealers are so eager to get your business now that you have huge leverage to negotiate on price, but don't stop there. Ask for free oil changes for 5 years Done! Ask for new tires when you will need them in say 40,000 miles Done! Ask for FREE Detailing of your car twice a year! Done!

You do not have to beat up on the car dealer, the items you can ask for cost the dealer very little, they will be glad to negotiate to make the sale!

Remember this program may end on or before Nov 1 of this year so start shopping now! Remember to check the Blue Book KBB value of your car 1st, you can get a much bigger bonus that way from the car dealers instead. If your car runs poorly but can still limp into the dealers lot it will still qualify!
