How to Bring Children and Chores together
I am a firm believer that the earlier you start your child working with you at whatever chore it is; the better home makers they will become themselves. I have learned that by making a chore fun, or a game it promotes their eagerness to help or do that particular chore later by themselves. Through the chores you set for your child, may also allow them to excel in their schoolwork at a faster rate. Due to these games they are able to learn their shapes, colors, and sizes at a very early age. As they grow you are capable of assisting them with their numbers through counting, or their alphabet by picking up the items in their rooms, which start with the letters such as a Barbie for the letter B.
Later still you can adjust these methods into math, and spelling skills.
When you first decide your child is able to pick up their toys start off by having them pick up something soft, or hard. Ask your child to put away all toys that are round, then square, and so on. Show them the difference between big and small, and then have them pickup the small toys first and the big toys second.
Next have them pick up the toys by color, green first, red second, and so on through these methods not only are you teaching your child to pick up after themselves you will also be teaching them lessons they will excel in at school.
By the child numbering off the toys they pick up, it will encourage your child to count. At first you will have to count with them so they are able to repeat the number learning them as they go but sooner then you would think they'll start doing it on their own. This is a great way for them to learn how to count. The alphabet is similar expect you want to start by teaching your child to pick up all the toys that begin with the letter a, then b, then c, and so on. This will help them bring the letters and names of stuffed animals, and toys together.
As they become more confident in their numbers and letters start helping them spell the smaller words like cat, rat, car, and grow to spelling the harder toys like zebra, snake, or truck. Math they have picked up two toys in one hand and have three in the other how many toys do they have all together to put into the toy box. Subtraction is also a fun game for children, they drop the toys out of one hand into the toy box three minus two equal what? You'll have your child doing math without them realizing they working instead of playing. Most household chores
