Women love to be wined and dined. They adore men who give them flowers, nice jewelry or perfume, but such thoughtfulness doesn't have to be a weekly ritual to keep their ladies happy. A huge bankroll isn't needed to keep a woman content either. Well, maybe that's not entirely true. Let's face it, there are a few gals out there who prefer a wealthy guy, but for the most part, women just want their men to be thoughtful, and a touch of romance is a bonus.
There aren't any rules written down in a sacred handbook for men called: Woman, The Unsolved Mystery of the Ages. There are no unwritten laws stating that men must buy women fancy lingerie or take them out to a nice restaurant every Friday night. The tiny, considerate things are more apt to impress a woman. Expensive gifts and lobster meals are wonderful (Who doesn't love both?), but small thoughtful ventures go a long way in reaffirming a gal's devotion.
When the warm months arrive, we clean the ashes from our fireplaces and freestanding wood stoves. This presents a wonderful opportunity to create a romantic setting for lovemaking. Secretly stock up on candles of all shapes and sizes, and keep in mind that if you buy scented candles, make sure all the candles have similar aromas. Too many different scents will clash and overwhelm an area, especially a small room.
Arrange the candles upon the grate or around the hearth, light them, and put on some music you both like. Simply wait for your lady to walk into the room, allowing the mood of the candlelit fireplace and music to take effect. Since most women love candles, she will appreciate your creativeness. Remember to keep a few candles unopened for her to keep, and perhaps it will urge her to create a similar evening for you some time.
Don't let your enthusiasm get in the way of common sense when it comes to using the candles. Be careful where you place scented lights if you opt to display them other places besides the hearth. A 911 call that your house is burning to the ground is not a memory you want to add to your list of romantic moments! Nor do you want to explain the reason you're partially bald, smelling like bayberry and cinnamon.
Most couples work different schedules. Many times we kiss and say 'I love you' as we pass one another at the front door. Find out what evening she will be home. Make her a meal, and if you can join her, that's even better. Your lady will adore the idea of not having to slave over a stove. Discovering a simple, unexpected meal waiting in the oven or the fridge will be a treat. Don't make the heinous mistake of scrawling a note next to a TV dinner-that is not cooking her supper! Anyone can open a box and throw the entree into the oven or microwave. Let her know you put some thought and effort into actually cooking something.
Perhaps a day arrives when you run out to the local carryout for a six-pack of beer and a lottery ticket. While there, grab your lover's favorite candy bar or soda to show her that you thought of her while you were out. This may not seem like much to a guy, but to a woman, the knowledge that you remembered her will bring a smile to her face.
Here's a word of warning. Before you buy that bag of chips or candy bar, make certain she's not on a diet! You don't want your good intentions to land you in the doghouse with a bag of potato chips stuffed up your nether region!
When you know your sex goddess has had a hard day at work, draw a nice bubble bath for her. Take her by the hand, lead her into the bathroom, and then give her a magazine that isn't hunting or sports related. Maybe bring her a glass of wine to sip while she soaks. Take the time to sit nearby and talk with your lover. No, don't tell her about the rebuilt engine you and your buddy dropped into that 1969 Mustang, but instead, ask her about her day. Talk about something you both enjoy.
Some beautiful balmy evening, hand her a glass of wine, or perhaps her favorite bottled beer or even a fresh cup of coffee. Lead her outside to watch a sunset or just to stargaze. She will cherish the memory, and maybe this will become a regular routine that sets the mood, leading to some spectacular sex!
Finally, if you're not comfortable doing any of these things, here is something that will always impress a woman. Rent her favorite movie or one that she's been dying to see. If you're one of those couples that argue over the remote control, or your lady feels that she must beg you to watch a movie instead of sports, this simple action will score a multitude of points!
Besides, a movie, one that she really gets involved in, creates a great excuse to cuddle. And we all know cuddling often leads to other things...
