It starts very early you're not born with it, it is learned
No one is immune from it this should make us all concerned
It's directed at minorities no matter if you're red, yellow, black or brown
And its only purpose is to keep those races down
It thrives on hatred and fear it's been around for many many years
And though it's very old it still possesses a mans total soul
Sometimes it's very subtle you may think it's not around
But make no mistake about it, it's found in every American town
It needs no introduction and we've all seen its effect
Just look at our ghettos and barrios they are some of the best
It's not just confined to America it's played a big part in history too
It was the driving force behind what Hitler did to the Jews
And if you still do not know what I'm talking about
Just listen a little closer and then you should have no doubts
It's something you really can't understand nor physically see
And yet it's very much a part of our society
It hides behind many different masks you may ask how that could be
Some even say it has found its way into Christianity
The Klan has used it as a tool for over 300 years
It has been the driving force behind their campaign of fear
Some people hold it in such high esteem you would think it was worth more than gold
But racist still can't seem to realize it will eventually destroy what's left of their soul
Do not confuse this with discrimination because that's just a battle of wills
See for what racist are trying to maintain they are quite willing to kill
You really should know what I'm referring to now and wake up to the realism
We will never survive as a country until we get rid of the cancer called 'RACISM'

Where Did Racism Come From?
Where did racism come from?
Certainly, not from God
For He made each one of us of one blood
