Why are landlines phones important?
Cell phones popularity is ever-increasing and anyone who wants one can easily get one because they are becoming more inexpensive to own. As cell phone are Increasing in popularity, landlines phones are decreasing. Giving up your landlines Phone may seem like a good idea, but in reality it is not be. We may want to rethink such a decision; there are many reasons why we may want to keep our landlines phone. I only share three.
One reason, Landlines phones are superior when dialing 911 because
Digital and wireless phones services are not linked directly with 911 locater system. This means those operators are not able to see an address immediately when a call Is made.
Second reason, landlines phones provide better service and is the best way to communicate during power outages and 911 calls even though telephones companies may offer the best line, wireless phones, and superior cell towers reception, we should consider the inconvenience and safety factors before disconnecting landlines phone service in favor of digital or wireless phone service
Finally, landline phones have no need for electricity, which can be extremely beneficial In disasters situations especially in my location in South Carolina where I live the threat of hurricanes and summer storms are an imminent threat during hurricane seasons there may be several days or even weeks before power is restored. I have often tried to use my cordless phone during a power outage only to realize it did not work because it needs electricity to function. I had to dig up the regular phone to call the electric company to tell
them my area had a power outage.
In conclusion even though I really enjoy my cell phones, I still have my landlines phone service. When I am home my landline is very convenient for wireless high-speed service because I take on line college courses at home while I baby sit my first and only grandchild (boy) There is nothing like the old fashion phone service. It is convenient and safer than having only wireless or digital phone service for the reasons I have mentioned above. Enjoy both worlds I do.
