I'm afraid to not have my own children to loose out on the joy they bring
Afraid I will never expierience the bond between a father and his child
I'm afraid of growing old, if it means forgetting the wonders I have seen
Afraid that as I age I will put strain on my family
I'm afraid to have a daughter, if I can't walk her down the aisle
Afraid she will forget me as she has her own family
I'm afraid of not finding love, that I will find no-one who completes me
Afraid that I've missed the chance, of being complete
I'm afraid to live, if it is without purpose
Afraid my life, will be meaningless
I'm afraid of walking down life's road, if it is to be without you
Afraid to leave your side, only to return and you're not there
I'm afraid that if I do not act, that I may loose you forever
Afraid that if I'm too forceful, it will put you under too much pressure
I'm afraid to let my feelings out, because I don't want to be left vulnerable
Afraid to keep my feelings silent Incase it's what you need to hear
I'm afraid to take your hand incase you pull it away
Afraid my love will not suffice or be what you hoped and planned
Ultimately I'm afraid to say "I love you" Incase it is not returned
Afraid to live a life alone
With no-one to share in my love

Rhythm of Fear
My heart has learned the rhythm of fear
The white hot arc that dances beneath
The numbing pain of loss
Laid
Strength of Fear
We are those who
desire servitude
mending of maladies
easing the pain
feeling vicariously
Viewing through windows
