Simple fact, losing weight is hard. Trust me if we could just snap our fingers and look how we truly want to we would. Losing weight is probably one of the hardest things to do and while some think it is impossible, it really isn't. counting calories and one of the things we can do to help us in losing weight.
Some people become obsessed with their calorie intake. You need to become careful because if you let it go to your head, it can ruin your chances of losing weight. But just because you are counting calories, does not mean you are trying to lose weight. Some count them just to make sure that they do not go over their limit. Many like to stay a little under the maximum intake.
One thing that everyone should know is that to lose weight you need to burn more calories than you consume. If you look on any food product, it will tell you that the caolrie intake of a human being is about 2000 calories. This is wrong simply because an athlete should consume more than someone who is sedentary at a desk all day. On average people consume one hundred more calories a day than they burn off, which leads to weight gain over time.
Most people do not realize that eating ten apples would be as many calories as eating five pieces of bread, which do you think will fill you up more? Fruits and vegetables have fewer calories than foods like meat and bread. This is why they are the most important when one decides to diet. It is important to pick the foods that you can eat more of and take in fewer calories.
Of course eating fatty foods is an easy way to get calories, but fats are very unhealthy. And just because you are burning calories does not mean you are burning fat. Three thousand calories is equal to one pound and unless you are exercising between your target heart rate, you are not burning many calories from fat. when at rest, out of one hundred calories only about fifteen to twenty are from fat. so unless you exercise then the chances of burning fat calories are going to be small.
Be careful about how much you consume. Some people get carried away and think one thousand calories is too much so they reduce the amount they eat which can be very dangerous. So just be careful and watch what you eat.
